BUSTER PHANTOM BOAT VR PRESENTATION AT THE BOAT FAIR
360Mediahouse was involved in the filming as well as taking care of the storyboard and separate audio recording. There was a queue to experience the presentation at the fair, and the feeling of speed was so intense people had to hold onto their seats.

BUSTER PHANTOM – VR BOAT DEMO FOR BOAT EXP
The Phantom is Buster’s largest and fastest aluminium motorboat, with a top speed of over 59 knots. The speed and equipment of the boat was available to experience through VR-video at the 18th Boat Exhibition in Helsinki.
− “VR-video is well-suited for boat presentations, especially during winter when a test ride in the water is not possible. Sitting and watching the presentation in the exhibition hall with the VR-glasses and headphones on, visitors experienced the character and attributes of the Phantom boat,” explains Marita Tuoma, Finnish communications director of Yamaha Motor Europe.
“A queue developed, as guests were eager to put on the VR glasses and experience the Phantom. The VR-experience really replicated the sense of speed, so much so that viewers would have to grab hold of the bench. We heard comments like, ”This gives a whole new perspective on the boat!” and ”Now I need to go and cash in some investments!’’
“360Mediahouse filmed the Phantom test ride in the sea around Turku in late autumn with a VR 360 camera, which was attached to the backseat of the boat. The sounds were recorded with a separate microphone. VR-material was edited and background music, product information and logos were added to the video. The end result was a three minute VR-video, used as marketing material for the Buster Phantom presentation at the boat fair as well as at other fairs and customer events.”
− “Cooperation with 360Mediahouse went very well. I believe that with our mutual design and experience, we will continue to produce VR videos for use in our sales and marketing promotions,” affirms Marita Tuoma.
